"In Elseworlds, heroes are taken from their usual settings and put into strange times and places--some that have existed, and others that can't, couldn't, or shouldn't exist. The result is stories that make characters who are as familiar as yesterday seem as fresh as tomorrow."

SUPERMAN & BATMAN: Generations An Imaginary Tale #1
Superman & Batman: Generations

Written and drawn by John Byrne;
cover by Byrne

Writer-artist John Byrne gives "World's Finest" team a whole new meaning in this compelling Prestige Elseworlds miniseries! In the Golden Age, the arrival of Superman and the debut of the Batman begin to have a radical effect on the world around them. In the first two chapters, vigilantes Superman and Batman battle the Ultra-Humanite's runaway robot at the 1939 Metropolis World's Fair, and have a showdown with Luthor and the Joker in 1949, each rendered in an homage to the style that dominated the comics of those years.

Coming November 11, 1998
