With an origin that doesn't rely on Batman, this Joker would not be as likely to vent his frustrations at the Caped Crusader. I could see Jack becoming a 'Fool-Killer' in his bloodlust. Given the nature of most elseworld stories, if he were to have his own book it would probably end with him confronting the final member of that rival gang. Would he kill him, knowing that his own life would then be without meaning? Or would he leave him around to torment mercilessly forever? Or would he discover that his wife had survived the original explosion, only to die only after he blew up the entire factory the next day? That might unhinge him enough to trigger a suicidal response.
