Yes, there really IS a Metropolis. This one is in
Illinois, and every June they have a Superman Celebration.
I will post more info about this weekend later, on my Superman Site, but I have some news concerning Rick Stasi.

He let me know this weekend that he is in the proposal stage of a possible Elseworlds involving Superman. He and Roy Thomas will be working on it.

Sorry that's all I have right now, but any of you who have seen Rick Stasi's work, now what a treat this will be.

By the way, Also got to meet Alex Ross and Kerry Gammil, and had pictures taken with them. Alex signed a BOATLOAD of my books I had with me. They were all three, just absolutely fantastic people.

The hightlight of my whole weekend was when I got to sit and talk with Rick. He asked me to join him for a Bar-B-Q sandwich, HIS TREAT, and as we met people he introduced me as "my Friend, Jeff" I tell you, if I had to go home then, I would have been perfectly happy with that. What a guy. Rick, if you have stopped in here, Thanks again!
