Elseworlds Sketch Book

Superman, having grown weary of his loved ones dying of old age, has taken to the stars, his son takes up the Mantle of the "S". BUT his first day out wearing the red cape, criminals equipped with a weapon designed to stun Superman, KILLS this half kryptonian son. The 10 year old Grandson of Kal-el watched it all. He swore he would make them pay one day.

He grows up in a city whose hero has died. The city becomes corrupt, worse than Gotham City had ever been. Realizing the mistake his father made was trying to pose as a full powered Superman, this man instead takes up the Mantle of the Bat. Now Metropolis has a new hero. Bat-Man. Being one-fourth Kryptonian he has advantages over the criminals who are expecting him to be merely human.

Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound (and then glide with his Batcape) Bend steel in his bare hands. Able to see in the darkest night as clearly as a normal man sees in the daytime, the night is now his element.

The only person not happy to see Bat-Man in the city of Superman, is... the returning Superman.
